Impact Housing Network

is a series of campaign mailers with the ultimate goal to elicit donations from consumers.

The booklet opens to display 4 rooms to create a tactile and engaging experience. The series of 3 booklets tells 3 personal narratives of common daily struggles for many unhoused people. The text on the floor builds narrative and the imagery on the walls relate to the story and what the unhoused person is missing, and what the consumer takes for granted daily.

1 booklet requires each room to be cut, folded, and glued seperately before combining all 4 rooms. The cover is added last.

The orientation of the text on the left or right of the illustration on the art board is intentional planning to have the reader engage with the booklet in the desired way.

Sturdiness so that the booklet can stay open and stand on its own was a requirement for me, and so was easy folding without deterioration of the paper. Managing these two desires meant experimenting with many paper weights, material, inks, and printers.
